Floyd Mayweather's new jet: A symbol of success or just another flashy toy?

Floyd Mayweather never stops amazing his fans with his lavish lifestyle—on the ground and in the air. Just the other day, the billionaire boxer revealed he bought a second private jet, Air Mayweather 2 Gulfstream III. And now, he is giving his fans an exclusive sneak peek inside the flying wonder.

The aptly nicknamed ‘Money’ Mayweather acquired his original private jet, a $50 million Gulfstream G650, all the way back in 2014. While he often used it to travel to exotic countries across the globe like Monte Carlo, Hong Kong, Bali, Fiji, and Tokyo, the new addition to his asset class might be his new preference.

Earlier today, the five division champion hopped on his Instagram account to share some glimpses from the inside of his new jet, which cost him—well, that piece of information isn’t available yet. Regardless, the richest boxer in the world wrote, “Fresh out the paint shop, time to take a little trip overseas and pick up a bag!”

According to sources, the Air Mayweather 2 has twelve leather seats, golden cup holders and other lavish accents. If that wasn’t enough, Mayweather’s new purchase is a pretty black and white beauty with Mayweather written across the fuselage of the plane and ‘TMT’ on the tail.

In his previous post about the jet, Mayweather spoke about his new “toy”, writing, “I’m going to continue to set the bar high while they continue to pray on my downfall. I’m going to stay on my grind. Either you hate it or you motivated. 2 planes give them 2 more small reasons to hate”. While the new purchase is great for Mayweather, his pilots should be excited too!

Floyd Mayweather once tipped his pilot $1000

All the way back in May 2023, Floyd Mayweather said in a video that he tipped his pilots “$1000 apiece” after a turbulent flight onboard his lavish jet. “Today, I tipped my pilots $1,000 apiece because it was kind of rough”, Mayweather said. However, the story doesn’t end there. He said something only someone like Floyd Mayweather could say.

Mayweather shared some tipping advice for the people who often fly private, saying, “Everybody that has got their own jet, you’ve always got to tip your pilots no matter what”. For someone who could fly to a new country just for a picture, $200 or $2000 doesn’t really matter. So, he added that it doesn’t matter if the tip is $200 or $2000, they should tip their pilots.
