With 2024 coming to a close, former five-division champion Floyd Mayweather has announced a surprise giveaway for his social media followers. The undefeated boxing legend took to Instagram earlier today to share a video of himself talking about his new partnership with Podiatrist and cosmetic foot surgeon Dr. Abraham Wagner, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, from Jaws Podiatry in Miami.
“Let me talk to you guys about one of the best foot doctors in the world, Dr. Wagner, one of my friends,” Mayweather said in the video. “Now it’s crazy. People wanna go out there in two-step for the New Year’s. They wanna play kickball, football, they wanna jog, they wanna do everything. Dr. Wagner is the guy. So guess what, we got a giveaway. His company, Jaws Podiatry. Two lucky winners, one male and one female.”
The giveaway offers “life-changing transformations of their feet” to two lucky winners. But that’s not all. For fans who would like to participate in the giveaway, the former five-division champion has also shared specific instructions to be eligible for the giveaway. According to a report from the Daily Mail, employees at Floyd Mayweather’s Los Angeles gym have accused the boxing legend’s ‘Money Team’ company of failing to pay them for weeks. The workers staged a protest outside the gym on Highland Avenue, holding signs that read, “The $ Team has no $” and accusing the company of “modern-day slavery.”
“We’re out here just letting everybody know that they have not been treating us right,” one employee said. The disgruntled staff also allege violations of the California Labor Code, which mandates timely wage payments. Workers claim the gym is being shut down due to unpaid rent, leaving them unable to cover their own bills.
“Who knows if [Mayweather’s] aware or not? We don’t,” another worker added. Mayweather, who has earned over $1.2 billion in his career, has yet to comment on the allegations.
