Floyd Mayweather Charged Khamzat Chimaev’s Entire Net Worth Just to Negotiate Fight With Deji

Floyd Mayweather has hung up his gloves, but he is not out of the money-making business. Though he is not earning the hefty fight purses that he used to do in the elite class contests, he has opened other doors for cashing in millions. You would be surprised to know that he charged UFC star Khamzat Chimaev’s entire net worth just for taking a call to negotiate for his exhibition against the YouTuber Deji.

Michael Benson of talkSports reported what Mayweather said.

It reads, “Floyd Mayweather on how the Deji fight came about: “They [organisers] reached out, ‘Floyd we’d like you in Dubai.’ I said, ‘I’m not getting on the phone unless we know the numbers.’ They wired me $1million. I got on the phone ASAP. I said, ‘Let’s make it happen.'”

According to reports, the wrestler-turned-MMA fighter Chimaev’s net worth is around $1 million. Due to his ruthless and dominating style, he rose to fame very early in his UFC career.

His fights against the UFC megastar Conor McGregor in 2017 and the former eight-weight division legend Manny Pacquiao in 2015 gave him the biggest paydays of his career.

Through these two contests, he alone made more than half a billion dollars.
