Floyd Mayweather sometimes courts criticism from the boxing community for being too flashy. He often gets demonized for putting his extravagant lifestyle on display on social media. But, simultaneously, he also gets a lot of praise for being a family man through and through. What the fans find particularly endearing is Mayweather’s relationship with his grandson Kentrell Gaulden Jr. Born to Floyd Mayweather’s daughter Iyanna Mayweather and rapper NBA Youngboy (real name – Kentrell DeSean Gaulden) in 2021, ‘TBE’ showers his grandson with loads of love and affection, which is evident from his numerous social media posts involving the two.
Kentrell frequently features on Floyd Mayweather’s posts, whether it be accompanying the 50-0 boxer to his gym, or going on a shopping spree with one of the world’s richest athletes. In a prior Instagram post, Mayweather did not shy away from displaying his affection towards his grandson.
He explained, “Most times I say if I could do it all over, I would change things, but now that I have my grandson, I wouldn’t change a thing because I wouldn’t have him in my life.” In January this year, Kentrell celebrated his third birthday and was pictured standing atop Mayweather’s $330,500 yellow McLaren 720S Spider. “Happy Birthday to my grandson @kjmeezymayweather I Love You!” wrote Mayweather.

One fan highlighted that Floyd Mayweather spends more time with Kentrell Gaulden than the child’s father, commenting, “Floyd been more of a dad to him than NFL young thug,” taking a dig at the rapper. NBA YoungBoy is currently married to Jazlyn Mychelle, with whom he has two children. Therefore, it just might be that he has a lot on his plate, and he can’t devote that much time to Kentrell Jr.
