Perhaps payback has to be timely and understated, making the triumph sweeter and longer-lasting. But it seems Jake Paul‘s father wasn’t interested in such subtleties. His son scored yet another win this year. After two boxers, albeit semi-retired ones, ‘The Problem Child’ circled back to a fight with Mike Perry, a former UFC fighter who later switched to the bare-knuckle league. As it often happens in ‘The Problem Child’s case, the fight has its share of detractors. Some believed that the ‘Platinum’ would finally be able to deliver what other former UFC fighters such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, or Anderson Silva weren’t able to.
Reportedly, Michael Bisping harbors no affection for Jake Paul. The former UFC middleweight champion dedicated one full episode following the Mike Perry fight’s final presser! Even earlier, ‘The Count’ went after the Ohioan for the fight against ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, especially after the boxing great’s medical flare-up. Bisping chastised Jake Paul lavishly for the way he picked his opponents. But the victory over ‘Platinum’ appears to have come as sweet revenge for Jake Paul, his team, and his family. When his turn came to speak on his son’s podcast, Paul Sr. had a few posers for Michael Bisping.

Some ten minutes after the show started, Jake Paul was revealing how things stood between him and Mike Perry post-fight. There was a lot of ‘mutual respect’. The bare-knuckle fighter had nothing but admiration for the way Paul fought with speed and power. On his part, ‘The Problem Child’ appreciated the way ‘Platinum’ stood his ground courageously. Then he revealed the kind of pressure he felt, given that the Mike Tyson fight was just a few months away.
The show’s co-host then called out his father, Greg Paul, for his views on his son’s triumph. “I think it was a great fight,” said Jake Paul’s father. So Paul Sr. knew that Mike Perry wouldn’t be giving any quarters in the fight. However, deep inside, he had full confidence in his son to scale through the obstacle and emerge victorious.
Greg Paul expressed curiosity about Michael Bisping’s stand now that his son has delivered yet another shocking result. Recalling how ‘The Count’ never had a few kind words for Jake Paul, Paul Sr. said on BS w/ Jake Paul podcast, “F*ck you, Bisping, yeah, f**king what now, and he’s like, ‘Oh saying Perry’s going to pick him apart’. So what now? What’s what? Where are you going to stand on that? And I’m just proud as f**k.”
On his YouTube channel, as much as he congratulated Jake Paul, Michael Bisping didn’t hesitate to call the fight a ‘sh*t show’.

Emphasizing the reasons behind having weight classes in combat sports, ‘The Count’ said, “Coming into this fight, I think myself, the whole fight community, everyone was behind Mike Perry, but the reality was he was too small.”

Seemingly, to Michael Bisping, ‘The Problem Child’ appeared twice Mike Perry’s size. Hence, according to the former UFC champion from Great Britain, the fight, which he described as a ‘farce’, shouldn’t have taken place in the first instance. Reviewing Paul’s comments during the final press conference, where Jake Paul called out MMA fighters as ‘pu**ies’, a frustrated Bisping went to the extent of even suggesting a comeback from retirement and “smash this guy’s f***ing face in.”
