The fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou shocked the world of boxing as nobody thought an MMA fighter would be able to go toe-to-toe against a WBC boxing champion. Ngannou had everybody on the edge of their seats the moment the bell rang, and then on their feet when he secured a third-round knockdown. In the early rounds of the bout, Fury wasn’t throwing many punches, however, after touching the canvas, Fury upped up his game and started throwing more punches.

In the end, Fury was announced the winner via a split decision. It was deemed to be controversial among combat sports fans, as Ngannou proved to be better than what people expected him to be. Many boxing aficionados like Devin Haney, Terence Crawford, and even Eddie Hearn thought it’d be the easiest contest of Fury’s life. Except one former boxing champion, Mike Tyson, who stood by Ngannou till the very end. Expressing gratitude, Ngannou penned an emotional message.

At the age of 22, Ngannou left his country to meet the Klitschko brothers to learn the art of sweet science. However, as fate would have it, he would go on to fight inside the MMA cage. After 15 years of his dominance inside the Octagon, he came back to his roots where he started his journey as a combat sports enthusiast.

The moment the boxing fight between him and Fury was announced, the former UFC heavyweight champion sought the tutelage of ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Even though, in the past, ‘Iron’ Mike had refused to be Ngannou’s boxing trainer, he gave in to the dedication and commitment of the 6x UFC ‘Performer of the Week’. Tyson mentioned that he believed in the hardworking mindset of ‘Predator’. So, Ngannou posted multiple pictures on his Instagram with his trainer Mike Tyson to show his gratitude for his efforts.

In the caption, he wrote, “My brother, my idol, my GOAT Thank you for believing in me, for helping me and for fortifying my faith. The one and only @miketyson.

Even Mike Tyson praised Ngannou when the fight was over, he said, “It wasn’t a robbery but everybody knows the outcome.” Ngannou has opened the floodgates for a lot of boxing offers after giving a tough fight to the WBC titlist in his debut boxing fight. Interestingly, Ngannou’s post was acknowledged by the legend himself.

Francis Ngannou posted the wholesome picture with ‘Iron’ Mike on his Instagram a few hours ago. Mike Tyson came across the post of his pupil, and this showed how even the man who was once known for his brutal KOs, can also get sentimental. Ngannou’s words had ‘Kid Dynamite’ getting emotional publicly on his Instagram Story.

In the Story, he shared the post uploaded by Ngannou. Under it, he wrote, “Brother I’m humbled and proud beyond measure. You have proven to be the Baddest Man on the Planet.” Therefore, ‘Tyson has offered the renowned moniker to his pupil, after his performance against Tyson Fury.
