In 2019, two of the biggest influencers entered the boxing ring to give the other a taste of defeat. This was not the first time they were coming against each other. But this time, they had a lot more in their corner. With which they brought their game into the ring. In early November, KSI undertook a fight against his fellow influencer, Logan Paul, at the Staples Center, in Los Angeles. Both fighters entered the ring to break the tie they had secured against each other.

A year prior to the LA fight, they both had seen each other off at the Machester Arena in England. In a fight of the amateur format, they both failed to secure a victory. It lapsed with a tie. But in the second chapter of their saga, there was indeed a winner. British rapper-turned-fighter KSI had secured a split-decision win over Logan Paul. The riveting scope of events kept their followers on their feet. But on October 14th, KSI enters the ring yet again, much more excited, against an opponent very controversial to the Paul clan.

KSI has been away from the boxing ring for a while now. The fighter was last seen in the ring in May of this year. He went against businessman Joe Fournier to only register a no-contest. But a broader consensus remains among his fans. He’s not fought a high-profile fighter for a while now. While he’s called out Jake Paul on multiple occasions, the younger Paul brother has not given his biggest rival this fight.

Now, with a big fight on the horizon, KSI remains excited for what is to come. On the 14th of October, he fights Tommy Fury at the Manchester Arena. Elucidating his excitement for the fight, ‘The Nightmare’ said, “This is the first time I’ve been excited for a fight since I fought Logan Paul.” Interestingly, his former opponent will be at the venue that night. Not as a spectator, but as a fighter.

From opponents to business partners

On the same night, at the same venue, just before the KSI vs. Fury fight, another much-anticipated bout will take its course. Logan ‘Maverick’ Paul will enter the ring against his rival Dillon Danis. However, this is not the only point of commonality between KSI and Maverick. The two fighters who gave the best of their fights against each other are now redefining how one looks at their former opponents.

Last year, both of them co-founded an energy drink brand called ‘Prime Hydration’. An immediate success, the brand has seen a stellar $250 million success. And with both their big fights scheduled soon, what better time to market their product? On October 2nd, Prime Hydration released the new ‘OG’ flavor. The flavor is inspired by YouTube stars’ “original doodles” for Prime.
