Paul recently shared a hilarious video of himself in a hospital bed, mentioning that he broke his back. However, he added that he is still capable of fighting while also urging people to purchase tickets for the fight.
Moreover, he also shared a rather intriguing detail about the cause of his injury. Paul said, “I broke my back, carrying the promotion for this event. It’s broken. Nurse, more morphine. I broke my back, carrying the last 5 fights promotion. My opponents never sell s**t.”
Fans were quick to notice the sly swipe that Paul took at Rahman Jr. and his lack of participation in the promotions for the event.

Meanwhile, Paul’s video caught Rahman Jr’s eye. He responded in a story with a piece of advice for Paul. He asked Paul to increase the fighter’s pay. Additionally, he also mentioned that Paul should stop the blame game and that he would’ve helped if he was earning more than ‘0% of the PPV’.

It is worth mentioning that Paul received support from a few celebrities for his statement. In fact, one of the most notable names is the 3x Mr. Olympia Classic Physique winner, Chris Bumstead.

It was announced on July 7 that Rahman Jr. will be replacing Paul’s previous opponent, Tommy Fury.

Notably, Rahman Jr. is the son of former unified WBC, IBF, IBO, and lineal heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. Another interesting fact is that Rahman Jr. is also Paul’s former sparring partner.
