“Fight Your Brother and Shut Up”: Jake Paul’s “Depressed” Skit Over Mike Tyson’s Withdrawal Draws Ire From Fans

Everyone’s worst fear has come true! Since the day the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul was announced, fans and pundits have questioned ‘Iron’ Mike’s ability to fight at 57. And as it turns out, Tyson suffered an ulcer flare up not too long ago during a Miami to Los Angeles bound flight, which ended up in the fight being postponed. 

This news seems to have affected ‘The Problem Child’ most, as he is missing out on the biggest fight of his career. So, the Cleveland born pugilist seems to have taken his sorrow to social media, albeit his ‘depressed’ act is dripping with melodrama. And the boxing world doesn’t want to have any of it! 

Jake Paul? Looking for a job?

Originally scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas, live exclusively on Netflix, the fight seems to have been pushed back in the year. Though there has been some talk about Paul potentially fighting his brother Logan Paul or some other big name, ‘The Problem Child’ seems stuck up on Mike Tyson like a jealous ex!

Turning to Instagram hours earlier, the former Disney star tapped into his acting background, as he posted a clip of himself in the rain reminiscing about Mike Tyson. Superimposed on the clip, the caption read, “Jake Paul depressed after Mike Tyson pulled out”, adding, “Anyone hiring?” on the post. While both Paul and Tyson have said they will announce the new date for the fight in the coming days, seeing Paul’s post, fans couldn’t help propose alternatives. 

Mike Tyson out! Clint Eastwood in!

With Mike Tyson officially benched for the near future, fans had some interesting ideas as to who should replace ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Hint: The public opinion seems legit! But not the one from this user, who mocked Paul for fighting older opponents by suggesting Paul should fight Clint Eastwood. “Clint Eastwood just turned 95 he’d be a great match up”, wrote the user. The actor and director might have featured in some action movies, but a boxing match—No!

Another user seemed dismissive, but asserted Jake Paul should just fight his brother and get it over with. The user wrote, “Go fight your brother and shut up”. Interestingly, his brother has agreed to step in the ring, albeit on social media, and no official announcement has been made. 

Even the next user had the same idea, who advocated for Logan vs. Jake matchup. “I wana see Jake and Logan fight who would even win”, commented the user. Logan Paul has appeared in the boxing ring before, so such a scenario isn’t impossible. 

Someone else took digs at Paul for fighting aged and out of prime opponents. “Be digging Muhammad Ali up next”, wrote the user. While it’s impossible, it would have been interesting to get Muhammad Ali’s opinion of influencer boxing matches. 

The next user seemed to have a plethora of alternatives for Jake Paul to choose from, as the user wrote, “Jake fight with tate or ksi or fury do itt”. Well, KSI and Jake Paul have agreed to fight in January, but take it with a pinch of salt. 

With his biggest payday slipping away, it’s unclear what Jake Paul would do next! The most obvious solution seems like an easier opponent before fighting Mike Tyson later this year, but only time will dictate the future. What do you think Paul should do next?
