Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Anthony Joshua is trying his level best to revive the boxing journey of the 33-year-old. Ever since the second loss to Oleksandr Usyk and an immediate meltdown, Matchroom Boxing is trying to restore Joshua’s image in the sport. In his last fight, ‘AJ’ faced Jermaine Franklin in this process and secured himself a much-needed win. Following the victory against Franklin, Eddie Hearn even confirmed they were pursuing a potential bout with ex-heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in December this year.

However, ‘AJ’ reportedly will return in August and face an unnamed opponent. Meanwhile, the Warrens from Queensberry Promotions even revealed their willingness to stage a fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury by the end of 2023. While everything seemed to be well-planned and in harmony for ‘AJ’, the last thing the world expected was an unparliamentary comment from the 33-year-old.

With the news of Joshua returning in August this year, a number of fans thought he would fight Dillian Whyte. However, there were no official announcements. Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn assured that they were “negotiating a fight with Deontay Wilder” and a match in August. “We are not willing to alter those plans,” he said. “If our plans don’t come to fruition we would of course be open to discussing a fight with Tyson Fury. The Tyson Fury fight is a fight Anthony Joshua wants,” Hearn added.

However, on his latest Instagram story, Joshua declared, “I don’t know about any talks to Dillian Whyte.” “Everyday. AJ this AJ that AJ’s hairlines going way back but I’ll still f**k your girl, go retweet that,” he aggressively added. Will ‘AJ’ face repercussions for what he said since he represents a brand in the world of sports? Well, time will only tell. However, recently Frank Warren expressed his desire to see Tyson Fury return against ‘AJ’ in the ring. Hopefully, it will soon be clear who ‘AJ’ is fighting in August.
