KSI has done it again! Come February, the YouTuber-turned-boxer and now a promoter would be celebrating his fifth year in boxing. Yesterday he won the third exhibition bout of his career.
In 2018, as part of his amateur initiation, KSI won a six-rounder over fellow YouTuber Joe Weller and drew the next against Logan Paul. “The Nightmare” repeated the feat the following year, albeit professionally, when he defeated Paul again. Three years later, under the auspices of his promotional venture, ‘Misfits Boxing,’ KSI returned to the ring. He fought and won two consecutive matches against British rapper Swarmz and Mexican boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda.
The big news that he would be taking on Conor McGregor‘s sparring partner Dillon Danis in 2023 started doing rounds. However, a last-minute pull-out by the American mixed martial artist saw him face one of the co-owners of a leading esports firm. The match was over before the bell for the first-round rung. But many somewhat felt that the outcome’s aftereffects directly impacted graphs far away.

KSI’s punches and Clan’s market value
KSI’s opponent, FaZe Temperrr or Thomas Oliveira, happens to be one of the co-owners at the Log Angeles-based esports giant FaZe. Active since 2010, the firm, with nearly 9 million subscribers, went public in 2022. It is listed in the NASDAQ under the name FaZe Holdings Inc.

Post-fight, Twitter handle @Jitokeze shared the details, saying, “No way FaZe Clan’s value dropped 14% after the KSI knockout.” The comment was presumably made in jest.

Nonetheless, however, it soon invited a flurry of reactions. While there were appreciations for KSI, a few couldn’t help but blow the lid off the message’s ambiguity.
@elFilipe1611 couldn’t help but appreciate KSI’s prowess in dominating the ring and the financial market.

@den_draft, @crpt0dgn, and @Penaldoooooooo seem to have collectively blown the whistle that the stock markets usually don’t work on weekends.

A close look at the “Uncaged” – KSI vs. FaZe Temperrr
After the 2 Fights 1 Night, KSI was on the lookout for the next opponent. His search took him to the likes of Slim Albaher, Andrew Tate, and Tommy Fury. But finally, it stopped at Dillon Danis, and the bout between the two on January 14 at Wembley was announced on November 19.

However, “El Jefe” pulled out due to concerns with the stipulated weight and a lack of training and coaching. As a result, FaZe Temperrrr ‘s name cropped up as KSI’s opponent on the same day.
Despite Temperrr standing four inches tall and a southpaw, KSI pursued and landed a devastating right-hand and left-hook combination; the fight was over in one round.
KSI’s massive victory could not have delivered a stronger message to competitor Jake Paul.
