Boxing legend Mike Tyson has seemingly joined combat sports fans in mocking the upcoming UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett. The British fighter has gained notoriety for putting on weight after his fights. This was at full display after went up to 200 pounds, a few weeks after his second-round submission win over Jordan Leavitt at UFC London.

This has led to fans referring him to as ‘fat’ and trolling him. It looks like Tyson has now joined in on this after he mocked Pimblett for this on his podcast.
Mike Tyson mocks Paddy Pimblett
The UFC fighter was a guest on Tyson’s podcast, along with Steve-O and DJ Whoo Kid. Iron Mike then went on to introduce everyone and then asked Pimblett how he managed to become so popular, mocking him in the process.
“What’s the big thing that’s we all we hear is about paddy the baddie, paddy the baddie. I never even saw you before, but it feels like you’re a family member. How did you get all this notoriety fat paddy the baddy?” said Tyson.
Pimblett then responded, claiming that everybody loved talking about him, to which Tyson agreed. Pimblett is currently one of the hottest prospects in the UFC. He has been seen by many fans as the next superstar in the UFC and has been touted as the next Conor McGregor. Moreover, he has embraced his weight and does manage to get down to 155-pounds before fight night.
Alexander Volkanovski warns Paddy Pimblett about his weight cuts

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is no stranger to big weight cuts. He was a rugby league player who tipped the scales at over 200 pounds, a huge increase from the 145-pound feather-weight limit. In an interview with The AllStar, The UFC champion was asked for his opinion Pimblett’s weight cut. He stated that this was not a healthy practice and also mocked Pimblett. “I used to go from 145 to 190 [pounds] in one week. It’s not healthy. It’s terrible for you. It blows my mind how his head just balloons like that. It’s quite funny.” He said.
However, Volkanovski aimed this to be as him giving constructive criticism to Pimblett. The UFC champ has first-hand experience of going through these weight cuts and is more than accustomed to its dangers in the long run.
