Is the death penalty too extreme for the man who caused harm at the Misfits Boxing event?

There were several solid fights on the Misfits 18 card at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, but none caused as much of a stir as an unexpected brawl in the audience. The altercation, captured by influencer HSTikkyTokky and shared on X, quickly became the main event for fans on social media.

In the clip shared on X, two men appear to have a tense exchange—one standing over the other, who is calmly seated and watching the event. Without warning, the standing man, Amio Talio, throws a couple of sucker punches at the man in the white hoodie, Ben Knights, sitting peacefully. Chaos erupts instantly as the two tumble through the narrow space in front of the seats, nearly knocking over a nearby woman and sending her to the floor.

Despite the commotion, security intervened by escorting only the man in the white hoodie out of the arena, sparking outrage online. Amio Talio, the man who initiated the attack, later responded to the viral clip from HSTikkyTokky, fueling further debate.

He wrote, “This p***sy hole was chatting s**t about my mum over the internet last year and I told him it’s on site when I see him and then had the balls to sit on my and act like he ain’t moving… so I moved him.”

Regardless, of the response, Happy Punch shared the clip of the incident, writing, “Crazy sucker punch in the crowd at the Misfits Boxing event just now.” Seeing this clip, fans quickly erupted in anger as they expressed their thoughts about the matter.

Ban, among the punishments, asked for the attacker

One user was puzzled by the man at the receiving end of the punches being escorted out along with the aggressor. They questioned, “Why did the guy getting sucker punched get escorted out? Lol.” It’s unclear why the security team didn’t escort both fighters out of the venue at the time of writing.

Another user described their thoughts about the attacker’s action. According to them, sucker-punching an unsuspecting individual was very unmanly. The user wrote, “Sucker punches are the definition of not being a real man. end of discussion.”

Clamoring for the man behind to altercation to be banned from future events, the user expressed their sympathy for the girl caught in between the melee. The user demanded, “Ban him from all Misfits events.. Poor girl.” Even though the girl got caught in the crossfire, it doesn’t seem like the girl sustained any serious injuries.

Despite the anger against the man for starting an all-out brawl at a sports event, a user noted how their sucker punch still failed to knock out the other man. The user commented, “Bro lowkey has pillow hands. 2 clean surprise shots and the guy wasn’t even rocked.” Notably, there are no updates on whether the man in the white hoodie suffered any injuries from the altercation.

Shocked by the sudden brawl, one user highlighted the inhuman nature of the fight. The user exclaimed, “Subhuman third-world behaviour! Potential death penalty?” While the man’s actions were deplorable, the death penalty might be a little too much.

That said, Misfit Boxing events often seem to blur the line between action in the ring and chaos in the crowd. It’s unclear whether any charges will be pressed against the attacker, but what do you make of the drama outside the ropes?
