The incident immediately led a significant number of people to take a stand for Jake Paul and condemn Mayweather. However, in a shocking statement, the YouTuber who stole Mayweather’s hat, recently revealed it was just another attempt to go viral instantly. Following the statements by Paul, fans lost it. Talking to ‘The Problem Child’, at one time, Wade Plem touched upon the recent incident involving Paul and Mayweather. On being asked if it was a big PR stunt, Paul admitted, “Yeah, it was. I kind of wanted to talk about it. We were like, ‘Let’s set this up and make this go viral’. It went on every single news page and outlet. We got exactly what we wanted out of it.”

Following the revelation, Paul even disclosed a picture of him dining with ‘Money’ Mayweather. “Bro, I still have like three or four things to unload,” he added by saying. A boxing-related source called Happy Punch later uploaded the clip. According to user @_AhmedAly1, one cannot help but speculate the truthfulness of a given scene.

Meanwhile, @Elchapo996 said they were not surprised and branded Jake Paul as a fraud. “Not surprised, it’s all Jake Paul does. The fraud,” they commented by saying.

On the other hand, user @Master15Viktor said they could not believe their ears as they heard Paul “say that sh*t“.
