Boxing fans who have been eagerly waiting for the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight have one more reason to believe they are not far from witnessing the Heavyweight event on April 29th at Wembley. Although Tyson Fury made Oleksandr Usyk agree to a 70/30 split, with the various propositions from Usyk’s team, a part of the boxing community wondered if they would actually come across Usyk vs. Fury. As per the latest updates, Tyson Fury recently filmed promo footage for his fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

In the past week, ESPN reported that the WBA president Gilberto Mendoza confirmed both sides agreed to fight at Wembley. Despite the Ukrainian boxer agreeing to the “greedy-belly deal”, since Usyk’s team looked for a potential rematch clause and a 50/50 split, the match seemed to be in jeopardy. However, with updates on Tyson Fury filming for his fight against Usyk, boxing fans are once again relieved.

The match looked to be quite there as Usyk agreed to Fury’s split. Likewise, even while rejecting the propositions from Usyk’s team as Fury blasted the former’s manager, ‘The Gypsy King’ did not kill the prospect of the fight entirely. Rather, Fury, in quite a clever statement, reaffirmed his interest in fighting Usyk. However, as Michael Benson tweeted the brief clip of Tyson Fury potentially shooting for Usyk, Michael Abbey declared that Fury was basically working on an excuse in case the contract remained unsigned for April.

Meanwhile, Hughezy wondered how Tyson Fury worked on a promo despite not signing the contract for his fight.

Likewise, Muhammad Zain found it too expensive to buy that Fury shot a promo for Usyk. In their opinion, Fury most probably looked for a potential fight against either, Wilder, Chisora, or Charr in the ring.

Meanwhile, a user by the handle of Scratcher said, “Got some love handles that will take longer than a four-week camp to shift“.

Finally, even Rob East hoped that Fury did not aim for yet another match against Wilder in the ring.
