Former WBA Welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas has had a boxing career matched by few. The former Olympian has previously held the WBA welterweight title from January 2021 to April 2022 and also won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics and a gold medal at the 2005 world championships.

Although he is famous for his boxing skills, only a few have seen a glimpse into his personal life. However, recently, Ugas portrayed this side of him perfectly as he greeted his mother with a heartwarming gesture on her birthday.

In a video uploaded by the former champ, fans can see Ugas holding a cake while his mother was sleeping. He then wakes her up and wishes her a happy birthday. His mother seemed surprised and happy by this gesture and thanked her son in a wholesome video. Moreover, he even had a few words to say as he thanked his mother for always supporting him and helping him grow.

To no surprise, fans were quick to react to this hearty display of love by the Cuban boxer as they praised his gesture.

One fan stated that even though he was a boxer, Ugas displayed love outside the ring, which made him a champion in real life.

Another fan showed his appreciation for this gesture as he praised Ugas.

Notably, another fan also showed his appreciation, but in a more subtle way as he used the internet slang for ‘Win’ to praise Ugas.

However, there was one fan who hilariously stated that Ugas should let his mother go back to sleep.

The Cuban boxer displayed humbleness even though he has attained great success in his profession. This is the reason why he is one of the most respected personalities in boxing.

Although Ugas is currently at the tail end of his career, he is certainly a candidate to be inducted into the hall of fame. Among many feats, the Cuban has a historic victory over arguably one of the greatest Welterweights ever, Manny Pacquiao, and has also reached the pinnacle in Amateur boxing.
