Logan Paul entered the ring in the pursuit of defeating his opponent through boxing. His opponent, Dillon Danis on the other hand did everything else but box. Such was the state of affairs at the Misfits co-main event on the 14th of October at Manchester’s AO Arena. In a bid to prove his mettle as a boxer and avenge all those scathes that Danis had left on his reputation, Logan Paul dominated the fight right from the beginning.

Danis, however, refused to throw jabs, and instead chased knockdowns and chokes, resulting in him looking like someone who hardly understood the sport. If the matchup would not have been terminated through a disqualification, Paul would have seemingly gone home winning through a unanimous decision. If one thought that their online battle of words saw its final showdown in the ring on Saturday night, these new tweets have otherwise to prove. It is perhaps the onset of another long rivalry in the realm of celebrity boxing.

Dillon Danis Claims to have ‘won the war’ against Logan Paul

As the fight saw its elapse, the world knew who had won the fight despite the judges not making it apparent. The only person in the ring who had stayed true to the ring was Logan Paul and in most definitions, he’d have taken home victory. And so does he. Moments after the fight, he posted, “I think Dillion perfectly embodies the problem with society. All shit talk behind a screen. No action. Just another peasant running his mouth contributing nothing to this world but negativity. So happy I got to expose this clown.”

However, this moment of truth did not go well with ‘El Jefe’ Danis. He seems to have believed the idea of him winning over ‘Maverick’, a ‘war’ he so vehemently wanted in his favor. He said, “What did you prove? You didn’t even tickle me. You backed out of an MMA fight against me. Everyone knew I’m not a boxer, but unlike others, I took on the challenge even with everything in your favor: weight, steroids, rounds, rules, judges, referees… the list goes on. I won the War.”

Delusional or Denial? The internet answers through memes

While the fight might have ceased, the battle seems to have just begun. The entire fiasco that Jefe put forth in the days leading to the fight fell flat as he failed to establish even an ounce of his dominance in the ring. And when he says he ‘won the war’, fans ponder if he’s delusional or in denial.

In response to Jefe’s claims that he hardly was tickled by Logan at the fight, a fan said that his look post the fight told another story.

His performance on fight night left no room for redemptions, said another fan.

Another fan came with a scathing attack along with proof to support Logan’s arguments and refute Jefe’s claims.

A user said that the fighter was in a space where he was looking for new excuses for his devastating loss.

To sum it all up, another fan uploaded a meme that personified what Danis did the entire night on the 14th. He just stood there, said the fan.

In the wake of this loss Dillon Danis has tasted, it remains unsure where his career in combat lies. Will he go back to the UFC, letting go of his autonomy, or take on another fight to prove his worth? The latter is if he gets another fight. Meanwhile, Maverick has proved his mettle as a boxer and now awaits the rewards that this fight will garner him.
