Former boxing champion Adrien Broner uploaded a thought-provoking video to his Instagram story that featured the voice of the motivational speaker and a noted figure in the music business Mark Hernandez. Hernandez made a strong point on the nature of success and the hard work needed to achieve it. The message, nevertheless, might have surprised some viewers.
Hernandez contends that hard work and sacrifice are not important factors in success. He likens it to ‘clinging to a fox in a bag’, which requires daily effort to prevent slipping away. He even goes so far as to imply that fairs are places where pigs are judged.
So, what does this all mean? Is success really that elusive and unpredictable? Can hard work truly be not enough to reach our goals?

Adrien Broner shares a big message about success
In a recent motivational video shared on his Instagram story, Adrien Broner, the American former professional boxer, shared a hard-hitting message about success and hard work. The video features a clip of Mark Hernandez, also known as “Kingpin,” a prominent figure in the music industry, speaking about the elusive nature of success.
Hernandez starts by saying, “It doesn’t go to the person who works the hardest bro. Fair, music business, fair is a place where you judge pigs.” He goes on to explain that success is not determined by how much you contribute or how much you sacrifice. Success doesn’t care about that. “Success doesn’t give a f*ck about your contribution, your sacrifice. I’m doing it on my own (Mocking in a crying voice), nobody cares. Success doesn’t care, man.”

According to Hernandez, success is something that you have to chase every day. And when you finally grab it, it’s not something you can hold onto easily. “You gotta show up and chase it every day, and when you grab that motherf*cker, you think you can hold on to it without fighting like a motherf*cker? Success in a bag is like when you put a fox in a bag, you gotta hold on to that b*tch for dear life.”
Hernandez ends his message by saying, “Success is a motherf*cker, bro, it’s very finicky. Cause the minute you think you got it, it’s gonna slip out of your hands buddy, and you have to chase. Some people will spend the rest of their career hunting for success again and won’t be able to catch it.”
