Jake Paul has become one of boxing’s hottest topics over the past few months. The YouTuber turned professional boxer has made the headlines for his antics out of the ring, and ‘The Problem Child’ has never shied away from doing things differently.

Because of this attitude, Paul has often done things out of the box. More often than not, the American has drawn immense criticism for such actions. However, the YouTuber has now explained one of these actions.

The 2-0 boxer spoke on the ‘True Geordie Podcast’ on YouTube and explained his choice of attire on that night. “All of these people in this, in this stadium are the ones on Twitter who are saying, ‘F**k Jake Paul’. That’s why I wore that chain out there. Because it’s like, I’m here to prove tonight to all of these people that I can’t be beaten and all of y’all might think you know me, but y’all don’t know me.”

With these comments, Paul explained the choice of wearing the chain. Clearly ‘The Problem Child’ felt he was unfairly criticized for his actions, and as a result, embraced the hate. Furthermore, the chain was a sarcastic dig at those who used that sentence to show their disdain for Paul.

‘The Problem Child’ wore this chain for his first-ever boxing fight in 2018 when he took on fellow YouTuber Deji in a white-collar boxing event. It was all part of the rivalry between the Paul brothers and the Olatunji brothers from the UK.

Since the bout was in the UK, the eccentric American faced incredible hate throughout the buildup of the fight. And although his brother Logan Paul lost, Jake stopped Deji in the fifth round and began his boxing career with a huge win.
