Earlier in Hotboxin’, Mike Tyson declared that he no longer possessed the love nor the excitement to return to the boxing ring. In this context, Tyson, who retired in 2005 following his loss to Kevin McBride, stated that only those who “didn’t properly use” their money, had to continue fighting in order to live. In his honest opinion, fighting was for the people who had “nothing else to do in life“.

Anyway, Mike Tyson certainly now has several important ventures to take care of and he need not step inside the ring. In this context, it is also worth mentioning that the former heavyweight champion of the world is currently selling “high-quality cannabis products” with Tyson 2.0. Despite being occupied with these ventures, Tyson seems to have contradicted himself by desiring to make a comeback to boxing.

In an exclusive with EssentiallySports, the CEO of Tyson 2.0, Adam Wilks revealed how Mike Tyson frequently expressed his desire to return to the ring. Despite their business ventures and being 57, Tyson sometimes feels like he should fight again. “There have been nights with snowstorms and we’re stuck in hotel rooms and stuff. And he is just like, ‘Adam, I wanna fight again’,” said Wilks. He then went on and added how seriously Tyson would put it.

“Looking at me, telling me he wants to fight,” Wilks continued. “I’m like, Mike, c’mon now. We’ve got a business. Let’s just stay focused,” he added. Besides discouraging Tyson, whose business would likely make $160 Million in the fiscal year 2023, Wilks then expressed that he wanted neither Tyson, Ric Flair nor Hulk Hogan to return to their respective sports.

Wilks wants Tyson to focus on his business

Since Wilks knows what these athletes go through on a regular basis, he does not want his friends to make a comeback. “I don’t wanna see any of them fight anymore, to be honest. Knowing what they go through, what they went through. Hulk had back surgery. I went to Ric’s final match last year in Nashville,” Wilks said.
