WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has long dominated the heavyweight division. Numerous boxers have attempted to oust him, but the 6’9 boxer smashes them out and is top of the league. Riddick Bowe, a former undisputed heavyweight champion and nemesis of Evander Holyfield, recently disclosed his strategy for defeating ‘The Gypsy King’.

While talking about his strategy to defeat Tyson Fury, Bowe stated, “You know, I’m going to jab at him, then I’m going to break a rib or two. Guys aren’t going to his body. Let him stand strong and as time progresses he’s keeping that posture and you’re not breaking him down. So you ain’t busting his heart. You ain’t stopping his liver and things of that nature. You got to do the things that’s going to make him tired, they are not doing that.”

Fury’s record now stands at 33-0-1 after his most recent victory over Derek Chisora in their trilogy bout. Fury easily prevailed the entire time in a one-sided conflict. The match was eventually stopped in the tenth round by the referee.

The Manchester native announced his retirement earlier this year following a spectacular victory over Dillian Whyte. Shortly after that, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk offered a challenge to fight him. Fury declared that he would accept Usyk’s challenge by re-lacing his gloves.

The Fury vs. Usyk fight has been in the news for some months. A confrontation between the two factions has been decided upon, and it is anticipated to occur in 2023.

Veteran boxing promoter reveals details about the Fury vs. Usyk fight 

Fury is co-promoted by Bob Arum’s promotions company Top Rank. The seasoned promoter has clarified some recent developments in this matter. According to Arum, both boxers have agreed to the fight and won’t be facing any other boxers in the interim.

He further added, “So they want the fight. Both of them want the fight and so there’ll be very little, if any, [messing] around. So we’ll be able to make that happen. I’m very, very confident.”

It will be the first time since the undisputed heavyweight title fight between boxing legends Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis. The winner of the Fury vs. Usyk match will be crowned the world’s best heavyweight boxer.
