The war of words between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has escalated to a new level. Ahead of their upcoming fight, Paul fired a playful, yet pointed, shot at the boxing legend on social media. In an Instagram video, Paul unveiled a new face tattoo – suspiciously similar to Tyson’s. But the real bite came next.
The clip transitioned to a man with a chunk missing from his ear, followed by Paul himself sporting a fake ear in his mouth. This cheeky reference to Tyson’s infamous 1997 disqualification against Evander Holyfield landed with a thud. Even though Tyson didn’t seem to pay much heed to that, it caught the attention of Evander Holyfield, who had a response ready for Jake Paul.

Nearly 27 years ago, boxing witnessed one of its most shocking moments – the “Bite Fight.” ‘Iron Mike’ inexplicably chomped down on Evander Holyfield’s ear during their 1997 rematch. Theirs was a rivalry fueled by competition and controversy. Holyfield had already dethroned Tyson in 1996, and the rematch was a chance for Tyson to reclaim his title.

But rage overshadowed strategy for Tyson, leading to the infamous disqualification, as Tyson bit off a part of Holyfield’s ear. And that’s what ‘The Problem Child’ made a joke about. However, Holyfield snapped back at Paul for mocking the ear bite. In his response video, he was seen looking at the video of Jake Paul, and then he made a parody of the promo video of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. He punched a duplicate Jake Paul, and said, “Keep my ear out of your mouth.”
The video doesn’t end there, it gets more interesting as it features a cameo of Jake Paul’s rival, Hasim Rahman Jr. Rahman Jr nods his head and says, “Now that’s a real deal.” Well, Jake Paul has found yet another rival, amidst his ongoing beef with ‘Iron’ Mike. However, there are still concerns about Paul going against a 57-year-old retired boxer. The worries have increased ever since the term ‘brain damage’ was tossed around. Tyson’s trainer has requested the fans to keep calm.

“He knows how to fight,” Cordeiro insists. Furthermore, he added, “You can see the fire in his eyes when he trains, and he will never give less than that. I truly believe it is going to be a great show Mike is going to step into the ring as the old Mike Tyson, and he’s going to try and knock out Jake from the beginning to the end.” So Tyson’s trainer believes that this fight will be just like any other fight the fans have seen.
