It seems the former heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield, is elevated to fight rival, Mike Tyson. Holyfield has landed enough verbal jabs on ‘Iron’ Mike until now. He wants Tyson to sign for the trilogy bout against him and roll out a classic show for the fans.

Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout in November 2020. Earlier he was supposed to face Holyfield on the same night, but the fight couldn’t come to terms. However, that is in the past and the ‘Real Deal’ is now hungry to share the squared circle with ‘Iron Mike’.

In a chat with Boxing Scene, Holyfield said, “My side tried to make the fight happen, and we got nothing but excuses. Now I can see why he wanted a tune-up fight before thinking about fighting me,”

The duo collided with each other twice, and the world saw what happened in both of those fights in 1996 and 1997, respectively. Given the fact that both men are in their dotage, a professional bout will never happen, but an exhibition would certainly satiate yesteryears fans’ desires.
