The Ring Magazine belt has a long history and is often considered as the benchmark for excellence in any given weight division. Adding it to the list of belts only increases the stakes involved in this high-stakes match that is awaiting us on July 29. @MichaelBensonn took to Twitter and reported, The vacant Ring Magazine welterweight belt will be on the line for Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford on July 29th, it’s now been confirmed.”

Boxing journalist Dev Sahni proposed a suggestion for the undercard. He stated, “It’s also vacant at 122lbs I believe. They should put it on the line for Liam Davies v Jason Cunningham earlier that night in Telford.”

On the contrary, one Twitter user finds it frustrating to have multiple belts for a single division and is of the opinion that it defeats the purpose. He states, “How about we start eliminating titles until each weight class has 1 champion? If everyone’s a world champion, no one is a world champion.”

Meanwhile, one user named Raul Rosado was awestruck to hear this news. He stated, The only belt that matters is @ringmagazine belt. The rest are trophys getting you closer to the real deal. 1 belt per division”

One user seems to be thinking too far ahead. He stated, “A great fight to find the man who’ll later hand those belts to Boots.”
