Talking about his expected fight with Pacquiao and why it could not happen, the 32-year-old said, “I don’t regret (Not fighting Manny Pacquiao) at all. Why did the fight between Errol Spence Jr and Manny Pacquiao not happen?

The fight that never happened was amongst the most anticipated battles of last year. The WBC, IBF, and Ring Magazine titles were on the line for the clash between ‘The Truth’ and the Filipino legend. Pacquiao and Spence Jr were expected to face each other on August 21 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Notably, a torn retina forced the American star to pull out of the fight. He apologized to his fans and said, “I was excited about the fight and the event. Unfortunately, the doctors found a tear in my left eye and said I needed to get surgery on it ASAP and that there was no way I could fight with my eye in that condition.”
