The 2022 Beijing Olympics silver medalist recently claimed the title of Dutch national champion in the 1000-meter race once again being the only one to break the 1:14 mark by coming in at 1:13:72. This is her sixth consecutive title. The massive achievement follows her victory at the 2025 ISU European Speed Skating Championships, held in her home country, the Netherlands, from January 10th to 13th. With a time of 1:14.21, Leerdam secured gold in the women’s 1000-meter sprint last month. Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam have been going strong as a couple since 2023, with Paul reportedly expressing a desire to get engaged and start a family with the Dutch speed skater.

Jutta Leerdam’s sister, Merel, also joined in the celebration to congratulate her sister. “Trots op jou zus!!!🙌🔥,” she wrote in Dutch, which translates to “Proud of you, sister!” The long-track sprint specialist, who started skating at age eleven, has come a long way, establishing herself as one of the sport’s most recognized figures.

From her first major title in 2020 – winning the European Championships (1000 meters) – Leerdam has now become a six-time world champion. The commercial economics student, who joined Team Jumbo-Visma in 2022, has also made some adjustments to her personal life.

Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam officially confirmed their relationship in April 2023, following months of Instagram communication between them. Paul commands a dedicated following of over 28 million, while Leerdam also boasts a following of nearly 5 million. The couple frequently shares photos and videos of their time together in Puerto Rico.

Jake Paul’s Boxing Ambitions: Through Ups and Downs

On the boxing front, Jake Paul was preparing for what could have been the biggest fight of his career. At one point, it seemed like a showdown with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez was almost a done deal. The Mexican icon had long been on ‘The Problem Child’s radar. Even after his fight with Mike Tyson, Paul called out the former undisputed champion for a cruiserweight clash.

But to no avail. ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, who was already in talks for a history-making fight against Terence Crawford, moved forward with a four-fight deal with the Riyadh Season. Miffed, Jake Paul slammed the super middleweight champion for ‘ducking’ him. He later messaged, saying he is ‘working on finalizing the next fight.’

During the 2025 Heerenveen event, where Jutta Leerdam won the 1000-meter sprint, Jake Paul was present among the spectators. Standing out with several cameras on him, he was seen enthusiastically supporting his love.
