The P4P King Canelo Alvarez looks to return soon and shoot for his much-desired 168 lbs title unification fight against IBF champion Caleb Plant. Following his WBO title win over Saunders in May, Alvarez has claimed to return to the gym. Meanwhile, his head trainer Eddy Reynoso has teased “good” news from the Mexican’s camp, which subtly indicates the fruition of an undisputed super middleweight fight.
That said, Caleb Plant has claimed to have never left the gym. Despite the unofficial status, Plant vs Alvarez is the most likely fight to take place at this stage. So, Plant might have begun his preparations a long time back. While Alvarez dropped the news of his resurgence in the gym, Plant seemingly sent a reply and said, “Been in the gym,”

Interestingly, Caleb Plant is the unbeaten champion between him and Alvarez, leaving no blueprints of defeat. However, Canelo Alvarez has vanquished two undefeated stars in the super middleweight division which began by grabbing the WBC, WBA, and Ring titles against Callum Smith in December. 2020.
So, Plant’s unbeaten status is not new to the P4P King. Furthermore, he holds sheer experience to his side and has a much higher position than Caleb Plant in the ongoing ride. That said, ‘Sweet Hands’ might just be another easy payday for Canelo Alvarez, who appears invincible at this point.

Standing at 6’1” Caleb Plant would dwarf 5’8” tall Canelo Alvarez under every physical parameter. However, this advantage might not be very useful.
