Eddie Hearn Regrets $1 Million Bet With Jake Paul

The duo is going to and forth on various issues, but their difference of opinion on the result of the fight had eventually tossed a million-dollar bet.

Recently, the renowned English promoter Eddie Hearn and the boxing sensation Jake Paul sat together on ‘DAZN Boxing’ to reflect their thoughts on the upcoming clash. Talking to the host, Hearn accepted the fact that he was a little hesitant while betting on the fight with ‘The Problem Child’.

He said, “That’s a lot of money okay. Well, I mean no I started back it’s my own it was my own big mouth that got me into it. Started with his jewelry. I joked it was 10 grand. It’s probably I don’t know whatever hundreds. Then I said well what about a million thinking hoping he’d say oh! Steady on and he went all right then I went oh! s*** t.”

Furthermore, Hearn added that the 25-year-old insisted on it. He said, “Jake’s right does add a little bit of pizzazz and a little bit of meaning but I want her to win with or without the bet but we’ll keep to our words and I’ll take the money over to jewelry but I truly believe Katie will win on Saturday night and he feels the same about Amanda.”

During the last major press conference, ahead of the pretty hyped event, the fellow promoters of both the fighters engaged in a verbal trade.

Hearn asked Paul if he was fully confident that his fighter will become an undisputed lightweight world champion. ‘The Problem Child’ smiled and replied that he has got a bet for him.

He proposed putting on all the jewelry as the price of the deal. Hearn hit him back and asked for something big. Eventually, the bet closed with the shaking of hands-on million dollars, but initially, Hearn looked reluctant before going for it. Which he mentioned later while talking to ‘DAZN Boxing’.
