There are many great potential boxing fights that could have taken the world by surprise if they ever happened. Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, undoubtedly, falls under that category as boxing fans wished to see the clash of the two best Heavyweight boxers today. But the fighters couldn’t find a middle ground during the negotiation phase and the fight got canceled. But there’s still hope for the boxing fans, as Saudi Arabia is trying to organize a mega Heavyweight event, reportedly, in the month of December where they’re trying to make Fury vs. Usyk and Deontay Wilder vs. Anthony Joshua happen on the same card.

Recently, Eddie Hearn also flew out to Saudi Arabia with the representatives of Joshua, Usyk, and Wilder to talk about the advancements of this ‘mega event’. So the prospect of the fight happening is at an all-time high now. And recently, talkSPORT reporter Simon Jordan reported the rumored purses planned for the four fighters individually. Simon Jordan revealed the rumored budget that has been decided for the four fighters. Now, everybody’s facing the dilemma, of how Saudi Arabian promoters are planning to buy out ‘AJ’ out of DAZN and manage the distribution deals. What will their fight offer be? Well, there hasn’t been any official reveal yet, but what Jordan revealed is what he heard in the “loosest of terms”.

Jordan revealed, “£200million – £90million to Fury, £50million to Usyk and £30million each for Joshua and Wilder.” Another talkSPORT boxing reporter, Michael Benson, tweeted about this revelation and explained the purses in further detail. Eddie Hearn came across the tweet and couldn’t stop himself from reacting to it.

Hearn laughed at these rumored purses and replied with a single laughing emoji. It was evident that Hearn was trying to maintain the mystique behind this event. But it could also mean that the purses are completely a hoax, and it’s nowhere close to the actual negotiation.

Now, there have been multiple occasions where big names in boxing have talked about this event and shown interest in such an event. Tyson Fury’s uncle, Peter Fury also threw some light on this event and stated that it’d be the biggest night for boxing. Later in that interview, he gave a crucial message to the world.

Notably, Eddie Hearn has accepted to host the fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder and hinted at the fact that Matchroom Boxing may help in organizing the mega event.

Hearn wants to finalize Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder as soon as possible

Hearn has revealed in his recent conversation with Boxing Social, where he talked about how his team is trying to book the Wilder fight sometime in December. And they’ve got to know that Deontay Wilder is also interested in fighting Joshua. So Hearn wants to finalize the December fight first, and they’ll plan to look for an opponent for Joshua to fight against in August.
