Eddie Hearn has many boxers under his Matchroom Promotions. Among the biggest names on his roster are the likes of Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. The duo is in line for mega title fights next year and fans are eager for Hearn to drop some news regarding when they will come to life.
The Brit, who is in Dubai, gave his updates on the Joshua vs Usyk rematch. He also spoke about Tyson Fury’s next fight (vs Dillian Whyte), for which the WBC finally gave the green light.

“Yeah, obviously the news that the WBC ruled during the Tyson Fury Dillian Whyte fight kind of put an end to the step-aside discussion unless that evolves in some way over the next week or so, which doesn’t look to be the case.”
“Right now it looks very likely that the two fights will be in play between Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua against Oleksandr Usyk.”

“So we have to obviously, on one hand, we have a situation where you know, we have Dillian Whyte fighting Tyson Fury there’s negotiations that have been ordered now. Could go to a purse bid if negotiations don’t come to a conclusion.” Hearn said.

Tyson Fury will look to reach an agreement with Whyte to fight early next year. If he wins, he will look to take on the winner of the Joshua vs Usyk fight to become ‘undisputed’ champion.

In a similar move, DAZN spokesperson and promoter Eddie Hearn revealed he is in Dubai. “Been travelling around, obviously last few weeks around the world. This week, we’re getting ready to have discussions with different countries about upcoming heavyweight contests,” Hearn told IFL TV.
