Eddie Hearn and Canelo Alvarez are the greatest fighter-promoter duo in boxing these days. The pair have joined hands and with time they look to strengthen their bond alongside rolling out some high-profile shows for fans. Also, until now, Hearn has managed some of Alvarez’s fights in the most perfect setting, which left the Mexican boxer highly impressed.
However, a few days back, Alvarez’s ex-promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, shared an old statement of Eddie Hearn. Wherein the Brit accused Alvarez and asserted him as a cheater.

Moving further, in a recent interaction with Michael Benson, the Matchroom boss clapped back at ‘Golden Boy’ for his comments. He said, ”I don’t take much notice of what Oscar De La Hoya says, because I think most of the time he doesn’t know what he’s saying. I hope he can find peace and happiness.”

Earlier, De La Hoya and Canelo were on sublime terms and it seemed as if Canelo had finally bagged the best promoter in his career. But later the bond between these two began deteriorating such that the Mexican boxing star filed a lawsuit against De La Hoya.
The matter got settled eventually, but the rift between ‘Golden Boy’ and Saul Alvarez only increased with time. Since then neither man ever passed up a single opportunity to mock each other. And recently he took the opportunity to hit at Alvarez’s current promoter, Hearn.

But with Hearn’s above comments, it seems ‘Golden Boy’s comments didn’t hamper Alvarez and the Brit’s relationship.
