But, before this fight’s finalization, it seems like Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has made revelations about the fight. And where the negotiations stand at the time being.
Other big names, such as Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, are also rumored to be in the mix for the Saudi deal. Hearn explained how the negotiations are going for the deal. And he also had a cautionary warning for his fighter, Joshua, if the fight between him and Wilder comes to fruition.
Hearn admits that Wilder is a difficult fight for AJ

In an interview with ProBoxTV, Hearn discussed the prospects for the Saudi deal going ahead. And he further admitted to the fact that Wilder is a difficult opponent to the Brit. And cautioned the two-time world champion about fighting the ‘Bronze Bomber.’

Hearn said, “The Wilder fight would be exciting. From our point of view, he knows how dangerous Deontay Wilder is.” The promoter further added that AJ doesn’t want to fight Jermaine Franklin for the rest of his career. And he claimed that if he had lost to Franklin, his career would’ve been over, as Franklin hadn’t had any wins in the last two years.
The 43-year-old further revealed the strategy he believes Joshua needs to adopt to fight the American boxer. Hearn said, “He needs to be more aggressive, which comes with confidence.” He further added, “If he boxes Deontay Wilder, he boxes his head off. If he gets hit by Deontay Wilder or vice versa, the fight’s over.”

Even though the hype for this fight among the fans is really high, Hearn has not ruled out the possibility of the fight not happening. And he further revealed the replacement they would be considering for AJ if that happens. Joshua himself opened up about his potential fight with Wilder.
Hearn is eyeing a fight with Dillian Whyte and Joshua if the negotiations with Wilder fall apart. Joshua and Hearn seem devoted to making the former two-time world champion active again in the sport. It will be interesting to see what prevails next in the Saudi saga.
