Dropped Like a ‘Cartoon,’ Fans Demand Fangs to Retire From Boxing After Loss to Alysia Magen

Last night, crossover boxing fans saw YouTuber Jessica Duban, aka ‘Fangs‘, in a duel with model and TikToker Alysia Magen. The former returned over a year after Alaena ‘Vampira’ Potocnik knocked her down in their debut fight in Misfits Boxing: X Series 006. Unfortunately, the top-ranking FIFA content maker met with a familiar fate. She lost the four-round bout at Misfits Boxing: X Series 15 by unanimous decision.

Now, footage from the fight’s second round, where Alysia Magen knocks her down, has been going viral. Some of the users found it a bit on the comical side. But to a few, it appears that ‘Fangs’ should step out of boxing for her own good.

Falling ‘Fangs’

@ksinews_ reposted the clip from Crossover Boxing News. The tweet with a crying emoticon read, “Alysia Magen has knocked down Fangs.” It shows Jessica Duban, or otherwise ‘Fangs’, going down after receiving a right-left combination from Alysia Magen.

As some of the users pointed out, it looked as though Magen’s right overhand touched the back of ‘Fangs’ head. But it seemingly threw the latter out of balance. The following left hook then made the perfect connect while the latter was already on her way down to the canvas.

The duo fought on the preliminary card of the Elle Brooke versus Paige VanZant headline fight. The event at Houston’s NRG Arena featured around half-a-dozen bouts. Earlier in the month, on May 11, Misfits Boxing concluded the fourteenth edition of their crossover boxing tournament.

Jest Tempered With Concern

The five-second clip might have amused some. But still, a few couldn’t miss the gravity behind the 36-year-old YouTuber’s second loss. Let’s take a look at how some of the fans and followers reacted to the short video.

To this user, Fangs’ fall reminded them of the chaotic antics played out in the well-known animated series ‘Looney Tunes’.

To the next user as well, the way Fangs fell down appeared quite cartoonish and exaggerated.

Finding it quite discouraging to see that way the YouTuber’s fights are ending up, this followers feels that it’s high time she should be taken out of the sport.

Then, fearing that her children might face bullying, this user also stressed about Fangs hanging up the gloves for good.

While respecting Fangs for displaying immense courage by getting in the ring and fighting, something most people would rather avoid, this user, however, doesn’t seem to find much humor in this episode.

As it stands out, thankfully, ‘Fang’ survived the second round scare. Unlike her debut fight, this time around, she managed to walk the whole distance.

In the headline fight, Elle Brooke managed to defend her Misfits middleweight title against former UFC flyweight-turned-bareknuckle fighter and now crossover boxing debutant Paige VanZant. Interestingly, alongside their fight that ended in a split decision draw, none of the matches in the X Series 15 met with an early stoppage.
