Mike Tyson and Don King once looked like an ideal fighter-promoter duo. Back in the old boxing era, Tyson climbed the ladders of success in no time. Also, he became a heavyweight icon in a few years and Don King promoted a lot of fights for him. But not everything was cordial between the pair as their bond began deteriorating by the early 2000s.
The rivalry only increased in the subsequent years and everyone felt the duo will never be on the same page. But recently, Don King made an eye-raising comment on his feud with ‘Iron’ Mike, and the lies Tyson told during his prime.

Talking to Fight Hub TV, King said, “He didn’t care about nothing else with the money. So he come to me and told me say every time I tell the truth you say nobody won’t listen because I’m saying something good about another black person and to all black people we all condemn including me. And he say so, I want to be able to get the money.”

“I say get your money. You know what I mean, so Mike Tyson would show all these stories about we’ve fallen out, we this and that.”
Mike Tyson once sued Don King
To the fight fraternity, Mike Tyson and Don King seem hardcore rivals. There were many instances between the two which made it to the headlines. But one incident was ‘Iron’ Mike accusing King of cheating him for millions.

In 1998, Tyson even sued his promoter for a whopping $100 million. Out of that, he was able to recover $14 million.

In all, Tyson and Don King’s relationship seems difficult to understand with King’s above comments after what all has transpired between them.
