The team of Dmitry Bivol earlier stated their “main goal” was to attain undisputed status in professional boxing. Likewise, they announced they would either fight Artur Beterbiev at 175 lbs or rematch Canelo Alvarez only at super middleweight where the Mexican boxer holds four hard-earned titles. However, ahead of his fight with John Ryder, Alvarez plainly declared that he wanted to rematch Bivol with “the same terms, the same everything as the last fight.”

While Canelo Alvarez demanded “the same terms as the last fight,” Vadim Kornilov, the manager of Dmitry Bivol recently declared, “A rematch cannot occur in the same terms as the fight you lost.” In his opinion, it is absurd. “When did you hear of a fighter who, after losing, asked for revenge on the same terms?” likewise Kornilov questioned. As per ESPN Knockout, which published Kornilov’s latest statements, team Bivol is now of the opinion that Alvarez does not want a rematch. According to them, the Mexican boxer lost the first fight “very ugly” and has “less chance of winning in the second.”
