The ongoing feud between five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather and his longtime protégé, Gervonta Davis, shows no sign of subsiding anytime soon. Recently, Mayweather faced massive backlash for the feud with a former teammate.
Former Money Team member and welterweight contender, Ishe Smith took to Twitter to address what he witnessed firsthand.
The love isn’t pure, once you realize that u separate ya self from people. It’s always about kissing his ass and who can do it better. I got out the way, not built like that, so I choose to make my own bread while others choose to sit at the bottom waiting 4 crumbs to fall.

Smith does not address Mayweather by name in the tweets. However, it is clear that he is referring to the former champ.
He begins by saying that there is no love in the team. And that it was about who stays obedient to Mayweather and is better at ‘kissing his a**’.
Further, Smith talks about the waning quality of the sport. He even gives special emphasis to YouTubers competing in the sport.
Any mutha fuka who constantly boast about his accomplishments, constantly boast he wants his fighters to break his records, is full of shit. He don’t want you doing better than him, PERIOD! Do you see Jordan or Tiger constantly boasting about themselves? As I said it ain’t pure!

Y’all gonna call this man ungrateful and all kinds of shit, but I’m speaking facts. I was inside, I know what the kid is going through. I’ve always liked him and told him awhile ago before he blew up he had power I have rarely seen in the gym, and he was special.

Smith also mentions that Mayweather constantly boasts about his accomplishments. Moreover, he compares Mayweather to basketball legend Michael Jordan and golf superstar Tiger Woods. He mentions how the stars do not place emphasis on themselves, saying, “Do you see Jordan or Tiger constantly boasting about themselves? As I said it ain’t pure.”

He even shows his support for Davis. He mentions that people might call Davis ungrateful, but he has witnessed what Davis is going through.
Davis’ skills also received praise ‘Sugar Shay’. He said, “I’ve always liked him and told him awhile ago before he blew up. He had power I had rarely seen in the gym, and he was special.”
Real sucka shit but I don’t wouldn’t expect anything less from that side. Keep doing you tho young king and hopefully this is a wake up call for you to take control of your career.

In conclusion, while talking about the dispute, Smith mentions that he expects nothing less from Mayweather’s side. And he ends with a piece of advice for Davis, asking him to consider it a wake-up call and take control of his career.

However, talks are aloft that Mayweather’s return to professional boxing might be responsible for the rift between the stars. Davis feels that Mayweather’s fight with Don Moore will overshadow his upcoming fight with Romero.
Davis is currently scheduled to defend his WBA (Regular) Lightweight title at the Barclays Center, New York City on May 28.
