WBA (Super) light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol surprised boxing fans with a stellar performance against Canelo Alvarez. Meanwhile, Bivol shared his thoughts on former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson’s advice to Canelo Alvarez.
Bivol was in an interview with FightHype‘s correspondent Lance Pugmire. In conversation, Pugmire asked him about Tyson‘s advice to Alvarez to jab more in their rematch.

In response, Bivol clarified that he has not seen the video of Tyson’s advice.
However, he mentioned that Tyson’s advice was legitimate. Bivol said, “Uh I didn’t see what Mike said to be honest. But jab you know is key for everything. If you use more jabs, it’s not bad, it’s only better every time you know. For me, for him, for everyone.”
Moreover, he also added, “Use the jab it’s easy, it’s easy advice but it works every time.”

Tyson was in attendance for Bivol’s fight against Alvarez at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

After the fight, he took to social media to give a breakdown of the fight. Moreover, Tyson also gave some solid advice on what Alvarez should have concentrated on.
Talking about Alvarez not focussing on jabs, Tyson said, “I used to think, if Canelo was using his jab effectively, hard. The guy wouldn’t have been able to come in. Coz the guy was coming in because he wasn’t worried about Canelo’s jab. So, he got more aggressive, and he got brave. If he’s not jabbing, he has no defense”

Further, Tyson asks Alvarez to focus more on jabs for his next fight. He even goes on to demonstrate the jab combinations and technique on a heavy bag.
