Heavyweight boxer Hasim Sharif Rahman enjoyed a stellar two-decade-long career, which saw him become a title holder twice. After that, expectedly, he passed the baton to his son Hasim Rahman Jr. However, the thirty-one-year-old, who debuted in 2017, has had a mixed bag of a journey that involves twelve wins against two losses. His first foray into the crossover genre last year against Jake Paul ended on a not-so-favorable note because of disagreements over his weight. Later, by August, a face-off against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort came about.
But Belfort tested positive for Covid-19 and was replaced by former NFL player and mixed martial artist Greg Hardy. The MF & DAZN: X Series 003 main card bout surprised everyone as Hardy sent Rahman Jr. to the canvas in the second round and eventually won unanimously. In the meantime, Hasim Rahman Jr. made his intentions about crossover boxing clear. He entered an agreement with Happy Punch Promotions, founded by YouTubers Keemstar and Fousey, on September 14.
The boxer enjoys a following of nearly 40k fans and supporters on Twitter. He makes it a point to share the latest news and developments in his life. Take, for instance, last month, he shared the list of the most coveted crossover fights to the fans’ delight.

However, early morning today, on a somber note, the ‘Gold Blooded’ shared his photo, presumably old, on a hospital bed through his Twitter handle @_HasimRahmanJr. The message read, “Alhamdulillah! A few years ago, I was assaulted by 3 grown-ass men & a woman and had to get 16 staples to the back of the head. I’m not even supposed to be here! KEEEP COUNTING ME OUT. MY REVENGE IS COMING.”

The Heavyweight boxer’s terrible experience pains @boxergirl1970. But, according to them, there is a reason why he is alive. Rahman Jr. has a lot to achieve in this lifetime. @boxergirl1970 feels that one can learn much about a fighter by listening to their life stories. Though others might have had an unfavorable opinion of the boxer, they never had one.
I am so sorry u went thru that. u r here today cuz it wasn’t ur time . u have more to do. sometimes when fighters share their stories, u see them dif. i’ve never had a neg view of u, but i see others do. u r blessed Hasim 🙏🏼❤️

According to @Kayux_, if Rahman Jr. acts brave but still suffers a beating, it demonstrates his feebleness.
shows how weak you are walk around acting tough but got bashed up

@ThroatinGlizzys took a different track. He commented that Rahman Jr. has given up on boxing to become a YouTube sensation. Indeed, it must have pleased his father.
