The fight between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, which was supposed to take place on August 12th, won’t be happening anymore. The replacement for Whyte has already been chosen, and it’s decided that Robert Helenius will take his place. Although Helenius just fought last weekend against Mika Mielonen, he’s again ready to face another challenge this Saturday. The bout has been revoked due to VADA’s official statements regarding the “adverse analytical findings” in his test.

Whyte claims to be “devastated” by this situation and expressed disappointment in how the fight is being canceled without getting any opportunity to prove his innocence. He said, “I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that I have not taken the reported substance, in this camp or at any point in my life.

Well, Whyte has also been previously accused of using a banned substance, but he was able to demonstrate his innocence back then. Recently, big names in boxing have come forward to react to the results of Whyte’s random drug testing.

Jermaine Franklin gives his two cents about the Dillian Whyte incident

In an interview with Boxing News, Jermaine Franklin talked about the whole situation going on with Dillian Whyte. In the past, he’s fought against Whyte and lost by a majority decision. And he said, “Like he probably used them when we fought. I heard this ain’t the first time, so I’m figuring he was probably doing it when we fought too.” This whole situation made Franklin quite furious.

He stated that it makes him angry when boxers try to cheat their way out, and such fighters should be banned from the sport. Mainly because they’re hazardous to the other fighters who live and can die for this sport. Although, he also showed tolerance for fighters who may have been caught under the influence of PED once. But the person who’s been caught multiple times should be banned immediately.

He also slammed promoters under the radar as he said, “These guys taking PEDs can potentially alter somebody’s life, and then promoters, you got a fighter you wasted so much f***ing money on you can’t even get a fight for them. Nobody wants to fight them ‘cause they take steroids.” Well, on a similar note, even the famous American Sportswriter, Dan Rafael, expressed his opinions on this matter.

Dan Rafael sheds light on the ongoing Whyte situation

Dan Rafael sat down with Boxing Social, to talk about his opinions on the whole situation. He taught the fans that the whole VADA testing is based on three individual tests that are considered collectively as one event. Now sometimes, all these three tests are taken in a short amount of time and that’s why they all show the same results. But, it’s a different case in Dillian Whyte’s situation.

Rafael said, “With Dillian Whyte, this has nothing to do with the other tests, one was many years ago, one was a couple years ago, and there’s this one.

Then he further went on to react to Whyte’s statements about this matter. He said, “Have you ever seen a fighter or any athlete for that matter that has a positive that comes out and puts out a statement that reads anything different than what he said? Absolutely not. So I’ll be honest, I don’t believe him at this stage of the game.
