The WBC announced that interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte will be pressing charges against the governing body. Whyte is WBC’s mandatory challenger for the heavyweight title. However, given that dates are not confirmed, Whyte has decided to take legal action.
Whyte faced Oscar Rivas back in July and won via unanimous decision to secure a bout against Tyson Fury. Also, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman revealed that Whyte will get a shot at the title in February. However, with Fury set to face Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua, it’s unlikely Whyte will get a shot.
