Former WBC interim heavyweight champion, Dillian Whyte, believes that Deontay Wilder shouldn’t have parted ways with his former trainer, Mark Breland. As per Whyte, Breland was the only world champion boxer in Wilder’s squad. Taking him out can bring a lot of problems for ‘The Bronze Bomber.’
However, Deontay Wilder has already finalized the action, and he probably won’t undo it. Following his KO loss against Tyson Fury, Wilder blamed Mark Breland for costing him the world title.

If not for Breland, the fight could have advanced for some more time. Although Wilder was taking a heavy beat down, he was still on his feet. When it turned severe in the seventh round, Breland threw in the towel and advised the referee to stop the contest. It frustrated Deontay Wilder, and he instantly lashed out Breland.

While interacting with Sky Sports, ‘The Body Snatcher’ called ‘The Bronze Bomber’ an “idiot.” As per Whyte, Breland was actually the one to care for Wilder and not someone who was just sticking around for money or fame.
The heavyweight gladiator said, “I think it’s the worst mistake he’s ever made because Mark Breland is the only person in his team that actually was a boxer and actually was a world champion. He was the only person that didn’t care about money or fame.”
He added, “Someone who was actually from an emotional point, someone who understands, thinking about his health and did the right thing by throwing the towel in because he could have got seriously hurt.

“Deontay Wilder is an idiot, he clearly can’t see it. Good luck to him, it’s his team, he can do whatever he wants. But I think it’s a bad mistake. Mark Breland is the only one that knows boxing in his team.”
Wilder is tentatively set to return to the ring in December 2020 against Tyson Fury. While the venue is still not decided, the matchup is just a few steps away from materializing.
