Were the arguably two greatest icons in American history, Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur, involved in a scuffle? Well, they never collaborated or made any public appearances together, but did at any point their rivalry and the tension between them trickle over and become a tussle of punches? Marcos Villegas has a plausible reason. The host for Fight Hub TV recently turned to his X handle and shared an amusing take.
He admitted coming across a clip of someone who told how Jackson and Shakur threw punches at each other and had a “fist fight.” But it was the ‘King of Pop’ who came on top and handed a beating to the 2Pac. Villegas wrote, “I just saw a clip of someone telling a Story that Michael Jackson straight up beat Tupac’s a** in a fist fight. No effing way this is real….right? Imagine Heehee right hands and hooks flying at your grill 😂”

Interestingly, Jackson’s father, Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson was a former boxer, and given the American singer’s better hand-eye coordination because of his dance background, he could have beaten Shakur. But there is no video or proof to back the theory of their fight. While some point out it was Jackson’s loyalty to the Notorious B.I.G. that closed the doors to their collaboration, others believed there was an incident involving Kidada. However, there is no concrete theory, but that’s not the end of their boxing connection.
Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, and the tryst with Mike Tyson
Tyson, 58, once made a visit to Jackson’s concert in 1989 along with Don King. When the concert was over, he met him while the singer stood near the car but failed to recognize him. When ‘Iron Mike’ approached him, he wondered whether he knew the American boxer. He recalled the incident, “I try to get closer to him and then he turns around and says, ‘Where do I know you from?’ I’m at the height of my career. The baddest man on the planet.”

The former world champion continued, “‘Do I know you from somewhere?’ I said, no sir. I just came to the show. I’m an admirer of your. He said, ‘ok’. Then he just turned around and got into the car.” On the other hand, Shakur shared a close bond with Tyson; he was an admirer and even had attended Tyson’s fight with Bruce Seldon in 1996. It was the same night that Shakur was gunned down after leaving the MGM Grand Arena after watching Tyson defend his title and a first-round-KO win.
