Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia Brawl: Bill Haney Warns “Barracuda Looking” Team Member to “Keep His Grimy Filthy Paws Off”

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia‘s rivalry didn’t wait for the scheduled boxing match on April 20. Hours after the official booking, the two fighters, who had clashed six times as amateurs, almost came to blows. Their past encounters in the amateur ranks saw Haney securing three victories and Garcia claiming three wins as well. For the first time, they’ll be locking horns in a professional stage and things are already getting heated.

The tiebreaker fight was officially confirmed by Golden Boy and Matchroom Boxing on Friday. Amid their brawl in Las Vegas, even Haney’s father Bill Haney got involved, and that’s when he got shoved by one of Garcia’s team members. So, now he has warned him to keep his hands away.

Bill Haney attracts attention to himself

Tensions between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney escalated beyond verbal exchanges as they engaged in a heated confrontation. Garcia accused Haney of being ‘scared’ and challenged his willingness to take action. The verbal sparring quickly turned physical when Garcia pushed Haney, sparking a scuffle.

Despite bystanders intervening, the two fighters continued their war of words, with Garcia attempting to break through security to reach his rival. Adding to the chaos, Bill Haney, Devin’s father, entered the fray, attempting to physically confront Garcia but was thwarted by one of the bodyguards. So Haney is now ready with a response for that specific Garcia team member. He said, “Team Garcia I don’t know what got into you the last time I saw you. But you better tell that muscle head, meat head, fresh on the scene, fresh out of the jail, Barracuda-looking motherf***er.”

Furthermore, he added, “He better keep his grimy filthy paws off of me or anybody related to my team or next you’re gonna have to deal with Big Tank.” However, Haney’s father isn’t taking a jab at his son’s opponent for the first time. Before this, he even slammed Ryan Garcia directly for calling him a “p*mp“.

An advice that wasn’t too well-meaning

Amid the brawl, Garcia walked up to Haney and said, “Your dad is a p*mp, and he’s p*mping you.” Well, this was enough for Bill Haney to take a harsh jab at his son’s rival. So, he decided to rile in the past information of Garcia’s divorce, while giving a response to ‘KingRy’.

Bill Haney said, “Here ya go kid @RyanGarcia read this and your ex wife will magically walk back in your life and you will live happily ever after.” He also posted the cover page of ‘P*mp: The Story of My life” written by Iceberg Slim, which was a reference to his statements.
