This weekend will prove to be a treat for hardcore boxing fans all around the world. This is because two of the best boxing prodigies in Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney will take up the ring space. The duo obviously isn’t aligned to fight each other, but both of them will lock horns with different opponents in a quest to defend their titles.

That said, before the pair takes up the ring space, let’s look at their stats and determine who has the edge to win their bout.

Haney, the WBC lightweight champion, has defended his throne thrice. In his last fight, ‘The Dream’ battled the seasoned veteran, Jorge Linares. Haney fared well in the initial rounds, but Linares was almost on the brink of knocking him out in round 11.

Gervonta Davis vs Isaac Cruz: Prediction and analysis

On December 5, the highly aggressive technician, Gervonta Davis, will confront Isaac Cruz for his WBA ‘regular’ lightweight title defense. Davis, until now, has fought the best of young guns and established stars, through which he has gained terrific experience.

That said, facing Isaac Cruz won’t be much of a task to him because he has fought even more skilled pugilists in his decorated stint. However, ‘Pitbull’ cannot be underestimated by any means. With a 5’4” height, Cruz attacks his opponent’s body first, thus shifting his radar to the chin subsequently.
