The aftermath of the Vasyl Lomachenko fight has finally come to an end for Devin Haney. However, despite the win, the authorities did not overlook his misconduct during the weigh-in of the fight. After the fight, the authorities held about 10% of his payout, which came to about $400,000, and the news of which made headlines. However, his fine has finally been announced for his inability to control his emotions.
Recently, the commission made it public that Haney will be charged $25,000 as a fine. This comes as a relief for the undefeated champion after his victory against ‘Loma.’ Haney’s win proved to be a controversial one. And many fans believed that the Ukrainian was robbed of the chance of becoming the next undisputed champion.

Michael Benson from talkSPORT, took to his Twitter to announce that the fine amount has finally been announced. Reportedly, Haney will be charged $25,000 for shoving Vasyl Lomachenko during their weigh-in. And this amount will be deducted from the money withheld by the commission.
Of the $400,000, the fine will be deducted, and the rest of the amount will be returned to the champion. This announcement comes exactly a month after the fight at the MGM Grand. Haney’s shove to the Ukrainian was not something the fans were expecting to see during their final face-off before the fight. And it did prove to be an expensive one for the champion.
Devin Haney has been fined $25,000 by the Nevada Commission for shoving Vasyl Lomachenko at their weigh-in. The commission initially held 10% ($400,000) of Haney's listed purse, but $375,000 of that will now be returned to him.

The 24-year-old’s win was surrounded by controversies as a lot of boxing fans believe that ‘Loma’ was the better man on the fight night. The bout between the two did not fail to entertain the fans, as there was a continuous exchange of jabs and power punches between the two.
