Ryan Garcia is down in the gutters after the New York State Athletics Commission imposed a one-year ban on him for testing positive for ostarine during the Devin Haney fight. Not to mention, the $1.2 million purse return, the $10K fine to NYSAC and his win turned to a no contest. However, ‘The Dream’ Haney feels that’s not enough of a punishment!

So, several reports suggested that the former undisputed lightweight champion has sued the Victorville native for causing damage to his image by cheating in their April fight. Following the entire ordeal, Haney is looking at a mandatory WBC title defence against Sandor Martin, which seems to have started the new lawsuit debacle. So, boxing commentator ShowBizz the Adult really ripped into Devin Haney for suing Garcia.

See, the thing is, Top Rank won the purse bid for the Haney-Martin fight, offering a mere $1.5 million to Devin Haney. This is a career low for ‘The Dream’, who was making much more before he was embarrassed by Ryan Garcia in April. So, he decided to take Garcia to court, alleging his cheating activity caused his diminished worth in the boxing world.

However, reacting to this lawsuit in one of his videos on social media, ShowBizz the Adult started, “He feels he was cheated because Ryan Garcia pop for ostarine, he did pop”. Highlighting, people are divided on whether Garcia took the PED on purpose or not—the boxing commentator lamented on the fact that there’s no way to find out unless they fought again.

Coming to the lawsuit, ShowBizz said, “[Devin] is going further and going to sue. Damn, you [are] going to sue Ryan Garcia because of the a** whooping was so potent that you felt that it ruined your brand”. He later added, “Just us men in here, we’re kinda like damn bro”. It’s worth mentioning that Ryan Garcia has reacted to the lawsuit saying, “Softest man ever created this crazy don’t know bill Haney s***rm was like this”.

What’s more, the story doesn’t end there! Haney quickly retorted on X, suggesting he was ready to settle the lawsuit out of court, and asked Garcia what he was ready to offer him in return. However, the question now is, what does Devin Haney have to say about suing Ryan Garcia for damages?

There’s no doubt that the Ryan Garcia loss has had a major impact on Haney’s earnings. Despite the loss being expunged, the world now knows Haney isn’t among the elites in the lightweight division. So speaking to Title Sports Network, Haney said, “My lawyers will do what they’ve gotta do to prove that in court against Ryan”.

As to why he is pursuing this lawsuit, Haney suggested the loss didn’t just affect him “financially, but mentally and everything”. Besides, for the potential WBC mandatory Martin showdown, Haney has also revealed he is weighing all his options, and would take next steps accordingly. It’s worth mentioning that in case Haney refuses to fight, his WBC strap will be stripped from him.

To be honest, nobody came out the winner from the April Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia fight. Garcia is losing money hand over fist, and Haney won’t be getting the money he once did. But do you support Haney’s decision to sue?
