Devin Haney recently hit a rough patch, as even though he won the fight against Vasyl Lomachenko, all he got in return was widespread criticism and a hefty fine of $400,000. Although he did retain his status as the undisputed lightweight champion with the victory via unanimous decision, demands are being made for a rematch. In the midst of all the drama, talks of a potential bout between Shakur Stevenson and Haney started appearing. The bout would have the fans very interested, as Haney would get another chance to prove his mettle in the ring.

However, the talks seem to have hit a wall, as Shakur Stevenson is refusing to sign the contract with the 75-25 deal in Haney’s favor. He has made it clear that he knows his worth and would not settle for this much. They recently went back and forth on Twitter. With all that in mind, it appears that Haney is not resistant to the idea of a rematch against Lomachenko to clear his name.
