Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney are scheduled to fight on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Ahead of their much-anticipated clash, the duo have been going back and forth on social media for quite a while now. Following the theme, ‘The Dream’ Haney mocked one of Garcia’s latest training clips today! Interestingly, these two have been lifelong rivals who fought each other a total of 6 times during their amateur careers.

As things are, both fighters have 3 wins and 3 losses among them, so the upcoming clash would determine superiority! However, Haney doesn’t think the Victorville native has any chance against him, as indicated in the most latest banter. Earlier today, Garcia hopped on X to share the clip in question.

In it, the Victorville native can be seen engaged in a heated sparring session with several of his sparring partners. As Garcia and his partner moved around the ring, Garcia showcased his skills through jabs, hooks, and body shots. Nearly at the end of the clip, Garcia states, “Can somebody tell Devin Haney it’s not [going to] be fun?”.

Well, it turns out nobody had to because Haney found the clip on his own. So, after discovering it, Haney just reacted with a drooling emoji. Meanwhile, the tweet from Garcia was a surprise because he had terminated his X account earlier last week. But why?

Ryan Garcia goes AWOL after order from NYBC

Not long ago, Garcia terminated his X account and deleted all his pictures from Instagram in what seemed like the peak of his mania. However, in a final Instagram live session, he gave hints on why the move was necessary on his part. Turns out, the New York Boxing Commission had ordered him to pass a mandatory mental health evaluation.

So, he looked for a fresh start! However, this doesn’t mean he agreed to the tests without expressing his discontent. During the Instagram live session, the Victorville native claimed he would file a lawsuit against the New York Boxing Commission.

“I’m gonna sue the NYC Commission, and this is why… Because I’m tweeting what I’m tweeting that’s a premise for a mental evaluation? That’s curious, so now you’re trying to mess with my constitutional rights,” said Garcia.

Will he be replaced? Only the coming days have answers to these questions. What did you think of Garcia’s new training clip?
