If financial security has been the only goal for Devin Haney, then the former WBC Super-Lightweight champion can comfortably quit after his last fight against Ryan Garcia. Despite being outclassed by ‘KingRy’, Haney was handsomely compensated for the labor he expended in his 32nd professional appearance.

Although most fans questioned Ryan Garcia’s mental health and expected the boxer from California to lose against Devin Haney, ‘KingRy’ shocked everyone as he knocked down ‘The Dream’ thrice to win the fight via majority decision. As a result, Garcia made more than $50 Million in total after the fight at Barclays Center. At this, while Garcia sought God’s guidance “to use this money” he earned, Devin Haney feels quite satisfied with his share of the moolah.

Reportedly, despite losing for the first time in his professional career, the former undisputed Lightweight and WBC Super-Lightweight champion bagged a whooping figure of $35 Million. Or, that is what the fans thought ‘The Dream’ made. Taking to Instagram Stories, Haney now revealed that he earned more than $35 Million in Brooklyn against Ryan Garcia.

If you thought I made 35..think again. Think bigger b*tch,” wrote Devin Haney. In this context, it is worth mentioning that Garcia overweighed by 3.2 lbs on the night of the fight. Likewise, as per a specific condition, he paid Haney $500K for each extra pound he carried. Therefore, it is obvious that Haney certainly made more than $35 Million against ‘KingRy’. Anyway, the above declaration by Haney was later reinforced by a statement issued by his younger brother Sean Haney.

Devin Haney’s brother confirms ‘The Dream’ earned more than $35 Million in one night

Provided the questionable social media posts by Ryan Garcia, fans strongly believed Devin Haney would effortlessly defend his title in Brooklyn. However, with unparalleled power and speed, Garcia dropped Haney in the 7th, 10th, and 11th rounds. But, while Haney may have lost the fight, he certainly pleased his bank account with an impressive financial gain. On that note, Sean Haney, brother of Devin publicly boasted of Haney’s latest achievement.

Taking to his Instagram, Sean announced that Devin earned “35+ in 36 minutes at 25“. “I see why y’all n***** hate it y’all couldn’t stand it b4 y’all really gone be sick,” he added. Here, it is worth mentioning that when Haney faced Vasyl Lomachenko last year with the undisputed Lightweight title on the line, ‘The Dream’ had made only $4 Million guaranteed despite his and Lomachenko’s popularity. So, he earned the highest against Garcia on April 20th. With that said, what do you make of Haney’s statements? How much do you feel he likely made? Let us know in the comments below.
