Ryan Garcia ignited a social media firestorm when he posted two shirtless photos showcasing his abs, with his hands near his lower abs. The caption read: “They are claiming I’m fat No history of missing weight Not planning to, just be ready.” This seemingly innocuous post sent shockwaves through the boxing world, particularly because there are only a couple of weeks left before his highly anticipated fight against Devin.

However, it was Devin Haney’s reply that truly turned up the heat. Haney cast doubt on Garcia’s physique, accusing him of manipulating the photos: “Stop using your hands to push the fat down.. it’s history of you changing the weight days before..” These were serious allegations. If true, they implied Garcia might not be taking his training seriously or struggling to make weight for the fight. And if that’s the case, Curmel Moton’s prediction might eventually be proved right.

Curmel predicts Ryan will rush Haney

Curmel Moton, fresh off a unanimous decision victory against Anthony Cuba, weighed in on the highly anticipated Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney bout. He highlights their storied amateur rivalry, predicting a dynamic clash. “They got a lot of history in the amateurs. I feel like Ryan will probably come out hard and try to spook Devin, rush him, and try to get an early stoppage or something,” Moton analyzed.

However, he believes Haney’s tactical prowess will prevail. “But, I feel like Devin is just too smart for that. He [is] going to box, he [is] going to play safe and get the unanimous decision,” Moton concluded, tipping Haney to outmaneuver ‘KingRy’ in their upcoming showdown.
